Meet Christine Wiethop,
Owner & Baker

I served as a teacher for nineteen years before taking the leap of faith to become a full-time business owner. I’m grateful for the way the Lord has provided in every way and guided my steps.

Over the years, I've created, tested, and tweaked many recipes. I’m grateful for all of my taste-testers, past and present, but especially for my husband Josh, my primary taste tester.

Baking connects me to those around me and enables me to give of myself. I pray while baking, which gives me peace. If you’ve ever eaten my treats or read my social media posts, I’ve prayed for you. Feel free to reach out and ask me to pray for you in a special way. Thank you for being here, and thank you for letting me bake and pray for you.

I’m grateful for so much! Family, friends, answered prayers, clarity…I’ve been thinking and praying a lot lately. No surprise there, but this may surprise you: I’ve decided that I’ll focus on my wholesale clients exclusively in order to make time for self-care. What does that mean? It means I will refer out to other vendors for retail orders like cakes and other treats. As honored as I feel to make these special orders, I’ve realized that I need to rest more so that my body can heal. If you’ve been here awhile, you know that I started this journey to health four years ago. I’m pretty stubborn, so it’s taken one step at a time to get here, and I have a long way to go. Thank you for your continued prayers. They mean so much to me. 💛🧡❤️

I’m still praying for you as I bake and pray for my wholesale clients. I pray for these businesses, the families that own them, the people who will enjoy the treats, and you. Please keep sending me your prayer requests. God sees and loves you. 💜

There’s a new place in town to find my scones. @vitanova_coffee_tea isn’t new, but they just opened a brick and mortar at 511 Conestee Road, across from Conestee Preserve and right off the Swamp Rabbit Trail. So yes, it’s a great destination point on your bike! 🤍

The grand opening will be after Thanksgiving, but you can stop by to get your coffee or @marabetteandco tea as early as 6 AM most mornings. The shop is super cute! Stop by and see for yourself. Also, see what you think of the new scone flavors! Thanks for shopping small. You matter! 🩵

It’s Fall for real! It’s my fave season! I’m so grateful. But these cold days? Oh I wasn’t ready! Were you? 😂

What a journey the last 14 months has been. The Lord brought Josh and me through a very stressful situation and provided for us in every way along the way. He taught us to trust Him and lean in. He made us a stronger team. He showed us His love through our friends and family. We’re so grateful for all the blessings, lessons, and love. 💜

The Chestnut Coffee House family said people had been asking if these scones would return. Long story short: they’re back! We’re happy to make them and pray for you while doing so. 🩵

Have you had one? Are you a fan? Now that they have some bakers in-house, they have a handful of other delicious options available, too. The biscuits are yummy! 🤤

I’m thankful for God’s timing and the way He prepared me for this round of baking and praying for the Chestnut Coffee family. It’s just one of the many blessings in disguise over the last year. Have you been looking for blessings in disguise? 💜

This oven - it may not look like much, but it’s powerful and allows us to make sooooo many scones, macarons, cinnamon rolls, and turnovers weekly. Josh found it used on Marketplace before it could even go into this kitchen. Yes, we got a good deal on it. You know we’re resourceful. So thankful! 🩵

Happy cinco de Mayo! It’s crazy to think it’s been 30 years since a car accident that changed my thinking about my purpose in this life. “They” thought I was dead, but God! This week also marks 15 years since a car accident that put Josh in the ICU. I’m so thankful for Kelly, the nurse who recognized Josh’s words and figured out how to reach me. There are so many stories around these two life changing events. I’m thankful for the good that came from them. God’s got us. 💜

We appreciate all of your prayers. Thank you. You matter! 💛🧡❤️
